Los Angeles. Imani Energy, Inc. has joined the campaign of the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) to bring a Feed-In-Tariff’s to the city. The Feed-In-Tariff would make it possible under certain conditions for utility customers to get paid for electricity generated by solar power systems that they have installed.

The report calls for 60 megawatts of solar to be installed in Los Angeles each year for the next ten years for a total of 600 megawatts. This would be the largest deployment of solar in Los Angeles County and the report states that over 11,000 jobs would be created.

“We are excited about the campaign and glad to be a part of it,” said Richardson. “We believe that our commitment to solar power for job creation and clean renewable energy will resonate with the environmental and broader community making Imani Energy a perfect source for their solar installation needs.

Imani Energy uses clean green solar energy to power up a women’s group home (one of several run by A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project, which protects women from entrapment in the criminal justice system by helping them re-enter their communities and the workforce).

Imani Energy President Jeffrey Richardson addresses the community and lays out his vision for Imani as a positive partner for inner city communities in the areas of employment, the environment, health,
savings, and community revitalization.
